Jakarta, 9 April 2026 – The Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf), Teuku Riefky Harsya, discussed strategic steps in developing an integrated digital asset ecosystem in Indonesia while receiving an audience with the leadership of the International Crypto Exchange (ICEx) Group. The Minister emphasized that digital assets are important as an alternative financing mechanism within the creative economy ecosystem.

“I see great potential in Web3 technology and exchanges such as ICEx to drive the tokenization of creative economy assets, ranging from music and film to other forms of Intellectual Property (IP). This will open broader and more modern alternative financing opportunities for our local creators,” said the Minister during the meeting at the Ministry’s office in Jakarta on Thursday, 9 April 2026.

ICEx Group is a crypto asset exchange operating as a Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO), focusing on crypto asset trading, Real World Assets (RWA), and custodial services. As an SRO, ICEx plays a crucial role in maintaining market integrity and ensuring transaction transparency for investors.

“The Ministry of Creative Economy provides two strategic supports for ICEx. First, through the ‘Creative by Indonesia’ campaign, we encourage ICEx to transform from a national champion into a leading regional player. Second, we position ICEx as an enabler to accelerate the commercialization of local IP through alternative financing innovations such as crowdfunding for creative talents across Indonesia,” said the Minister.

Meanwhile, President Director and Founder of For U AI, Xue Kai Pang, emphasized that Indonesia represents a strategic market amid the global institutionalization of digital assets valued at USD 3.5 trillion, with more than 20 million users. Leveraging the momentum of OJK regulations in 2025, ICEx operates as an SRO integrating For U AI technology to develop an AI-based economy and facilitate the tokenization of intellectual property (IP) to empower local creators.

“Through exchange infrastructure focused on Real World Assets (RWA) and custodial services, we are committed to strengthening the Web3 ecosystem and enhancing public digital literacy, ensuring Indonesia becomes a key player in the global AI- and digital asset-based economy,” said Xue Kai Pang.

The Minister expressed hope that the presence of ICEx and its supporting ecosystem will further strengthen public digital literacy regarding Web3 technology. This commitment is part of the government’s effort to support Indonesian brands and creative talents in competing through cutting-edge technological innovation.

Accompanying the Minister during the meeting were Deputy for Digital Creativity and Technology Muhammad Neil El Himam, Special Staff to the Minister for Strategic and Inter-Agency Issues Rian Syaf, Director of New Digital Technology Dandy Yudha, and Ministerial Expert Staff Gemintang K. Mallarangeng.
